This ride out has always looked for two things – interesting roads to ride and beautiful scenery to ride through. Since it started, rides have visited Hadrians wall, Druids Temple, Hartside Pass, the Yorkshire Moors, the Tan Hill Inn and many other places. Keeping it 125 friendly means keeping the speeds down a bit, so these tend to involve twisty little roads through the middle of nowhere! You’ll find these as events on our facebook page.
Club members organised a superb three day riding weekend to the lakes in April ’19. Staying in a bunk barn, with a scenic ride there via Kielder water and the Scottish borders, the Saturday was a spectacular ride out via four mountain passes around the lake district and both nights were great fun.
Our next riding weekender is a three day mini tour of the highlands in mid September, and people are currently booking for it.
Big national rallies can be a lot of fun and in the last year our members have attended You’ve been NABD, the Farmyard Party, Stormin The Castle and the Rock and Bike Fest.
Local rallies can have a really different feel and are great to attend. So far this year we have been to SPOT’s rally in quaking houses and the superb Smoking Dog Rally.
